ACT-MSR was honoured to be able to present the Delegate RSL

ACT-MSR was honoured to be able to present the Delegate RSL with a gift by way of a Slouch Hat and custom made stand, to acknowledge the tight knit relationship between PAMMC MSR and the good folk of Delegate.

In 1916, men gathered in a Snowy village, Delegate, from there, they conducted an enlistment march to Goulburn, the nearest recruitment centre at the time, picking up volunteers along the way.  This was a march of 327 Km for these young men to be part of the Great War, representing a young country only 15 years since Federation.

This march, which is embedded in Delegate & NSW pride, was repeated in 1940 for WW2.
